6 1/2 Months!

I figured I was about due for a new picture! Everything is going well and I'm measuring where I'm supposed to be. I can't believe there is only 10 weeks left! Time is just flying by!!

5 1/2 Months!

I had another check-up yesterday. It was just one of those 3 minute ones where they take your blood pressure, measure you, listen for the heartbeat, weigh you(I really wish they wouldn't do that, by the way) and all that fun stuff.

Nothing too exciting happened at the appointment, but the PA was having a hard time isolating Emma's heartbeat without picking up mine, too. By the time she got right over her, she was pressing pretty hard and Emma kicked back HARD. I honestly don't think I have felt her kick that hard yet. I think it startled the PA and the kick was hard enough that the monitor came up off of my stomach for a second. Anyway, I guess Emma doesn't really like doctors. Sorry, Zane, I will work on that with her. : )

I have been feeling guilty because everyone keeps asking for belly pics and I have been a slacker, so I took a picture yesterday when I got home from work. I really didn't want to put one up until I actually looked pregnant, and I definitely do now!

I thought about dragging this out so you all had to read through a ton of stuff before I actually told you what the baby is, but that is too cruel... I'm not very patient myself, so I couldn't do it. We are having a GIRL!!! We are very excited! It is nice to that I no longer have to refer to her as "it", and everything seems more real now. Once again, she bounced around like crazy during the entire ultrasound and had the ultrasound tech laughing because it was really hard to take any decent pictures. Every time she was in line for a picture, she would bolt. The ultrasound tech thought it was amazing that I sleep at all! The other thing was that she kept her hands up in front of her face so it was hard to get a good picture of her face, too. Maybe she is shy, but I think stubborn is more like it! Oh, and we plan on naming her Emma! Anyway, we are very excited and can't wait until she is here!

Check-Up

Yesterday I went to the doctor for my check-up. It was just one of the quick, routine ones, but it is always fun to hear the baby's heartbeat. This kid does NOT stay still, though, and everytime the Doctor would get close enough that we would catch the heartbeat for a second, it would move. It took him a couple of minutes to finally pin the baby down to listen to the heartbeat. When I had my ultrasound at 7 weeks the same kind of thing happened. The ultrasound tech thought it was hilarious because it was just bouncing all over the place. If that is any indication of the kind of energy this baby will have, I better rest while I can! I think that it is amazing that such a tiny little thing can have so much personality already and that I can already care so much about it. Oh, and we finally dug out our camera and I will be posting pics soon!

News!

We have waited plenty long to officially announce this... I'm pregnant! So far everything is looking good and last week we got to hear the heartbeat for the first time. The baby is due on March 2nd and we are very excited! Time is flying! I find it hard to believe that I am almost 14 weeks! I'm not showing yet, but I'm going to enjoy that while it lasts. : )
