Pre-School Independence

Emma's new thing lately has been having me drop her off at pre-school without getting out of the car and walking her to the door.  She wants to do it all by herself.  But this morning I died laughing when she got out of the car, set her backpack on the ground, pulled the handle up and wheeled the backpack up the sidewalk.  It was so stinking cute!

Liahona

Emma was in charge of the scripture and lesson for FHE last night.  She wanted to teach it about Nephi, so I helped her prepare.

I was helping her understand the Liahona and how it worked.

She said, "Mom, that is just like how my heart guides me when I make good choices."

After she said that, I left it at that, seems to me like she knew exactly what to say.  Such a smart girl.

Fish

If there is one thing that all 3 of our kids agree on, it is that they LOVE water! They could each take over an hour long bath everyday if I let them. They don't always last as long with all 3 in there... maybe a little too crowded? But it sure if hilarious to listen to them as long as they'll last in there!

Best Friend

Lately, my girls have been reminding me of Kelsi and I when we were younger...

Trying on some clothes from a cousin- we love hand-me-downs! I remember how excited Kelsi and I would get when we got a big bag of hand-me-downs like that. We would try on EVERY single thing and model them, spending hours with each other. B

They also love any kind of dress-ups, and my mom bought them these sunglasses the other day. This was their first time showing Jared. Kind of felt like deja vu because Kelsi and I would go school shopping with my mom and then we went home and tried everything on for our dad and brothers to see.

Brown Bear

My best friend from college is the best gift giver. Somehow she always nails gifts on the head. Especially for my kids. They use her gifts more than most gifts I pick out for them! She bought them the book "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" and they are OBSESSED. Both girls can recite it almost word for word and read it several times a day. I love it!

Exhausted

Poor thing... Jared was gone for high adventure and our schedules were all a little off. She fell asleep on the kitchen chair while eating dinner at about 5:45 PM.

Little fish

Emma is in LOVE with water lately. She can take a bath for hours... play in the pool forever... run through the sprinkler over and over and over... it is fun to watch her confidence grow in the water. I signed her up for swimming lessons at the end of the month, and I'm excited to see how they go! It is the first time that she won't be in a mommy and me class. They don't even want the mom's outside, just watching through the window, and I'm nervous to let my baby go. I don't know why that is so hard for me! She, on the other hand, is thrilled, so that's good. She tells anyone who will listen that she is going to take swimming lessons!
